BBC WEEKLY MAY 1, 2020
‘This is the day the LORD has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.’
This Sunday starts our new Sermon Series entitled: “Rising Above Life’s Circumstances—How to Respond to the Victim Culture,” a study of the book of Philippians. You can catch this weeks sermon: ‘Rising Above the Victim Culture’ on Sunday at 10AM, 3PM or 6PM and invite someone to join the “Watch Party” with you. **REMINDER** This week we are also celebrating Communion. Take a moment before the service to prepare for this special time.
It is with sadness that we learned of the passing of Pastor Art Hoehne last Saturday. Pastor Hoehne followed the call of God to plant this church in Bonnyville 40 years ago and we are here because Pastor Hoehne obeyed that call. Our own Lloyd Brown officiated at a graveside service this past Wednesday in Edmonton. Keep this dear family in your prayers.
Pastor Ben is need of help for the May 17th drive in service at the C2. If you can help on the Saturday before or the Sunday morning please contact Pastor Ben @ 780-812-9329. He also needs help weekly - we have had some very faithful people doing the weekly services so far but new volunteers would be so much appreciated.

Thank you for making our first 3 services on-line Sunday such a success. We hope you enjoyed having a service host that welcomed you, talked with you and prayed with you. Such a blessing to feel a little bit more a part of the body of Christ as it is today.
This Sunday we will be having Communion. Please be prepared to share in this special time together during any one of our Sunday Services 10AM, 3PM, or 6PM.
Are you looking forward to May long weekend? We are!! We will be doing a drive in service on May 17th at the C2, in their parking lot at 10AM. If you can’t make it you can see the service online as usual. Pastor Ben will need lots of extra help Saturday the 16th and early Sunday morning the 17th to make this happen. If you can help out with that (no experience required—just a willingness to help) contact Pastor Ben @ 780-812-9329.
We are starting to repair damage around the building this week and are hoping to begin painting next week. We will keep you posted. Let us know if you can help and we will contact you as to how and when we need you.
We hope you are enjoying this little bit of spring we are experiencing. I heard today that Moe’s nursery is open. That should bring a smile to your face and put a spring in your step.
